I believe that is very important for educators to know about social networking because it can be used for educational purposes as well. Educators must be aware of the way these networks work also because students sometimes use them inappropriately.
What new insights did you gain about these popular sites? What did you like or dislike about each of the sites you explored?
I love both of these programs. To me both sites were geared towards recreational purposes, but could easily be used for educational purposes as well.
Which site had the most useful features? Can you see a classroom or school application for any of these sites?
Facebook would be the helpful site and I could definitely see it being used in a classroom for numerous things, but I still view both of them as mostly social sites. This is my URL for my profile page on facebook:
